Next Level Training is pleased to announce New Jersey Colonials Director of Boys Hockey, Noel Rubin, as the newest addition to its team.  From his several years of coaching and playing experience, Noel will offer a depth of knowledge to players as he serves as Next Level’s Director of Player Development.

Attracted by the unique opportunities, equipment, and exercises offered at Next Level’s facility, Noel looks forward to serving as a resource for players, coaches, and trainers. Noel, who has a Level 5 master coaching certification, will offer his expertise by giving lectures and conducting skills clinics throughout the year. Noel will work with Next Level training staff to ensure that athletes are maximizing their potential and receiving the highest level of training possible.

Noel will also consult with parents to offer advice as to the best future options available to their sons and daughters. Noel can provide meaningful guidance and support regarding the best route for each athlete, whether it be on a Tier 1, Midget, Junior, prep school, or local high school team. His expert opinion and various contacts will be invaluable to families as he helps to shape every player’s hockey future.

Noel believes that the exceptional hockey players distinguish themselves by training the hardest and showing the strongest desire to push themselves to the next level.  He has coached many athletes who have continued on to play at the collegiate level and in the NHL.

Utilizing the European method of training, Noel places an emphasis on every player’s skating game, as well as on puck control and scoring. Noel’s training technique and approach entails intense off-ice training, conditioning, and strengthening of leg muscles, with a focus on stick handling, shooting, and speed. Noel’s personal coaching style is consistent with Next Level’s mission:  to enable players to achieve their fullest potential through hard work, perseverance, and discipline.

Entering his twelfth year with the New Jersey Colonials, Noel takes great pride in the accomplishments of every team and player he has coached as part of the Colonials organization.  He led the Pee Wee Major team to the Colonials’ first-ever national championship in 2011, after working with the group for five years and developing it into a championship team.

Noel played professionally in Sweden for two seasons as part of the Ik Skaret and If Husums clubs.  His playing experience also includes the Reno Renegades of the WCHL and the Nashville Nighthawks of the CHL.

Noel will join trainers PJ Scriffignano, Bill Katinsky, and Dave Zielinski, as well as Sis Paulsen, who has been Next Level’s Sports Performance Specialist for the past six months and is the New Jersey Colonials Director of Girls Hockey.
