Congratulations to all of our teams on hard-fought games in the recent Cup and State Tournaments.  We are pleased to announce that two of our teams were Cup champions this year!  Morristown-Beard won the 2015 Mennen Cup, and Delbarton won the 2015 Gordon Cup!

Our teams had a great showing at this year's NJSIAA Ice Hockey Tournament, and we are proud of all of our teams for the efforts they put forth. We'd like to particularly congratulate Delbarton for advancing to the Non-Public Finals.

The Star-Ledger All-State and All-Area Selections

The Star-Ledger recently released its annual list of All-State selections and Players of the Year.  We are very proud that two athletes who train at Next Level were chosen as Players of the Year!

Kendall Cornine, a senior forward for the Morristown-Beard Girls ice hockey team, was selected as the overall Girls Ice Hockey Player of the Year.  A tremendous honor to be determined as the statewide girls’ ice hockey player of the year, it comes as no surprise with Kendall’s intense commitment to the game and her phenomenal season.  Kendall finished this season with 66 points (34 goals and 32 assists), and, upon scoring her 180th overall point, she became the all-time leading scorer in Morristown-Beard girls’ ice hockey history.  Kendall has been training at Next Level since opening day.  She has a dedicated training routine and never rests—she begins training for the following season the second the off-season starts!  Speaking of never resting, did we mention that Kendall barely gets off the ice during games?

James Callahan, a senior defenseman for the Morristown-Beard Boys ice hockey team, was selected as the Morris County League Player of the Year!  Commended as a unique talent by both his coach, Randy Velischek, and his teammates, James is a two-time All-State defenseman.  James has been critical to Morristown-Beard’s success in recent seasons, which includes a state championship and two Mennen Cup titles in the past two seasons.  James has trained at Next Level both individually and with the rest of the Morristown-Beard team.

We’d like to recognize the following athletes (who train at Next Level, individually and/or with their teams) for having been recognized by The Star-Ledger for the following distinctions during the 2014-2015 season:
