Next Level Training congratulates all teams who participated in the recent Cup tournaments. We are especially proud of the teams who team train at Next Level, as we love to see our athletes’ hard work off the ice translate into success on the ice.
Tournaments held recently include the Mennen Cup, Gordon Cup, Haas Cup, Halvorsen Cup, McInnis Cup, Skyland Conference Cup, Greater Middlesex Conference Cup, Union County Cup, Mercer County Cup, NJSIAA Prep B Tournament, Big North Silver Tournament, and Shore Conference Tournament.
We want to give special recognition to the Morristown-Beard School boys’ varsity hockey team for winning the 2014 Mennen Cup title. Sixth-ranked Morristown-Beard, despite being seeded below fifth-ranked Chatham, defeated Chatham in a decisive 4-0 victory on Saturday. This year’s title is the ninth overall for Morristown-Beard.
Across the board, the teams that come in to train at Next Level are hard-working, dedicated, and talented. They reap the benefits of off-ice team training, becoming faster and more conditioned as they develop better team cohesion. These noticeable improvements serve them well in high-stake games, such as Cup tournament games and State playoff games.
Dedication, drive, and discipline are key factors in developing close-knit and successful teams. We often see our teams, such as Morristown-Beard, begin practicing as early as the summertime. They often prepare for the upcoming season by holding captains’ practices—long before they even begin working with their coaches.
We wish the best of luck to all of our teams participating in the upcoming NJSIAA Non-Public and Public Tournaments, which begin this week!
